Cycle parking expansion on TfL roads in the borough

This article was originally published on 29 January 2020, but was then removed the following day when council officers advised that they were not sure whether TfL wanted the plans for the cycle parking expansion in the borough to be more widely disseminated at this stage. When, a few weeks later, it became apparent that some of the proposed cycle parking, as outlined in this report, had been installed, an updated version of the post was republished on 15 April 2020.

On 29 January 2020, Sutton Council advised that Transport for London was proposing to install some additional cycle parking on the roads that were with the authority’s control in the London Borough of Sutton (namely the A24, A217 and A232), Details of some potential locations were provided, as outlined below, and our comments were requested (to be received by 31 January). The cycle parking expansion on TfL roads in the borough is believed to be part of TfL’s Cycle Parking Implementation Plan (July 2019) – pdf here.
