The draft London Cycling Design Standards: making better and safer streets for all

The long awaited London Cycling Design Standards (draft for consultation) have been published today: https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/cycling/draft-london-cycling-design-standards

It’s great news, not only because these guidelines are about raising standards and delivering high-quality infrastructure, but also because there is the recognition that cycling is now mass transport and should be treated as such.

Get Sutton Cycling looks forward to discussing the implications with Sutton Council, with Sutton’s transport planners, with Sutton’s engineers and the newly elected Sutton councillors in due course. It’s time Sutton became an even better place in which to live and to work. And if the Sutton follow the published guidelines, it will do just that.
