Meeting notes can be found here.
We recently met on Wednesday 28th November where we also held our 2018 AGM. Recent LBS consultations were discussed including the 3rd round of LIP funding and the Tram Link. Marcus Howarth also took on the role of co-coordinator to assist Charles Martin and gave a demonstration of some of the tools we hope to use more of in the future, namely Cyclescape and the LCC mailing system.
Previously on 6 June 2018, Paul Gasson from Waltham Forest gave an overview of the award-winning Mini-Holland programme in Walthamstow, and talked about creating low-traffic neighbourhoods and the benefits they brings. We also heard about engagement with the council, with communities, and with those who do not initially support some of the transformative proposals put forward, and the lessons learned. Notes to the formal part of the meeting are available here, and a review of the ‘mini-Holland’ presentation is here.
Remember, everyone is welcome to to attend the Get Sutton Cycling meetings. Even if you do not currently cycle we will be delighted to see you.
Furthermore, you do not have to be a member of the London Cycling Campaign to attend meetings or help at events. Of course, we would very much like you to consider joining as there are many benefits of doing so.
